The teacher sits in his wheely chair per usual, sinking himself into its leather cushioning as he on-watches students both new and old fill the room. How he loves his job. With each new face, he bestows them a warm and welcoming grin, making sure to lock his serpent eyes with theirs so that they feel his benignity. He stands up, pushing the bridge of his glasses with a claw.
"Welcome, yes. Welcome to Shamanism! I'm so glad you're all here. New term, new students, new relationships, I'm sure we'll all get to know each other finely!" He beams at each and every one of them, gratitude filling his eyes. He exits the concave of his desk, lifting a spherical vial from the edge. "Yes, I'm almost certain you'll all get to know me soon enough. It doesn't take that long, really."
It isn't until now that the slur of German overtakes his voice, the accent dwindling his amicable presentation. He throws the plump vial of liquid at the floor, causing it to shatter along with a blossoming hue of its violet contents. The potion allows a plethora of serpents to birth from the puffs of lavender smoke, each one slithering along the stone floors. They curved around desks to overlap each other and trek up the students' legs and creep over their laps to bind them to their seats in restriction.
"So sit down, shut the fuck up and listen else I'll grant you a zero in the grade book based on whether I like you or not

SHM 101 - Introduction to Shamanism
"Right. An introduction to Shamanism. What is Shamanism? I suppose one could consider it a religion. Not too much though... perhaps a lifestyle. It focuses on both healing and causing pain including but not limited to herb recipes, spirits, and/or spells, just to name a few. First and foremost, my type of Shamanism is demonic... obviously. So I want to start you all off in the spirits department. Why? Well because, these bastards may become your friend-" He lifts his arm, a wisp of black air curving around it like a snake, "or your enemy. That's between you and the spirit."
"Ok, ok, so let me explain this; I want you to provoke a spirit. No, not one of my spirits, I'll have you learn that later. A long lost soul tied to campus grounds. How does one go about doing that? There are many... many possibilities there, children. To put it simply- dabble in the negative occult."
"So find yourself a nice spooky place where souls lurk. Do I honestly need to give you a fucking example? This is practically a haunted school for the devil's sake. Try using a ouija board, shuffle out the tarot cards, have a question and possible answer with the ghost. There's plenty of shitty TV shows that run over speaking with the dead, the only difference is this is real. Enjoy."
[Assignment: Conduct a seance however your student chooses. They should end up meeting a lost soul. Do try to find out its story. Careful though... it may become attached as a friend or enemy]

SHM 102 - Introduction to Psychoactive Plants
"Only one student, mm? This class seemed only to be popular the first year. Very well. As you may or may not know, Shamanism covers a medicinal area of sorts... that is if you want it to. Plants in recipes can either result in the consumer's health or their own dismay depending on the herb given. You, Vandre, will be conjuring both. Oh no, but for this assignment, you only need to retrieve the ingredients. For future assignments will you be composing some real fucking action. With that, I leave you with this-"
"Your assignment will be to travel to the outskirts of campus, particularly in the direction of the Forest. You may want to scavenge my personal library in the next tower over for a book on herbs and flora to find what you're looking for. What kind of plants are you looking for exactly? What other than psychoactive. That's for me to know and for you to find out on your own
"You see, I'm not your average teacher. I don't necessarily teach you. I tell you to go find out and then come back to me with the information and I'll tell you whether your effort was worth it or not
[Assignment: Study up on psychoactive herbs and flora before trekking out into the forest. Find at least three plants and bring them back for you own written/drawn examination.]

SHM 103 - Introduction to Spirit Manipulation
"Hmm... this has to be my largest class by far. Swell."
"The first thing you need to know is that this class is very... while not limited in size, limited in subject. Yes, not EVERYONE is capable of teaching this because I'll be applying my abilities on your lessons. You'll understand soon enough or at least you should hope so, I don't care, just do your fucking assignments the way I tell you to, ja?"
"This used to be taught as a lesson in Shamanism 101, the introduction, but I feel as if this could have its own separate class." The ghoul wrapped tightly around his arm slithered about, crawling up to his shoulders and around his neck. "See this? This is a spirit of mine. A black mamba one, if you will. These ones have no personality, but soon will you be able to address spirits with back stories."
In an instant jerk the teacher slammed his boot to the floor, causing a party of serpentine spirits to shoot up from the cracks between the stone floor. "Here we go; a spirit for each of you." They loomed next to their owner, some going in to constrict them. "You will learn how to "spirit" bend or "snake" bend these ghouls. It may take them awhile to get use to who the hell you are and obey your commands, but to control them is simple."
"Stomp on the nearest crack or break in the floor and out it will come. They are just like regular snakes with some minor differences. They will not harm, but they can indeed nip i.e. soft bites or snake strikes. Feels like a pinch. They may also constrict. That's it, you ask? Trust me, the personified ghouls are capable of much more. For now, you should try controlling your own personal ghost to constrict, nip, and perhaps more." The apparition sitting around his shoulders cuddles against his cheek, slicking its tongue out. "... quite..."
[Assignment: Learn how to control your own ghoul Kazu gave your student. Have it warm up to you enough that it can nip at others and constrict them. Remember- They're ghosts. All the ghostly qualities apply unlike a real snake.]

SHM 201 - Shamanistic Music
"Moving on to Shamanistic music. You'll be singing in this class, GOT IT? Well what did you fucking think. Glad you've acknowledged that, let's address the task at hand."
"Shamans invested in the musical department of Shamanism have their own personal song. That's right, this song has their own lyrics, their own tune, and most importantly? It conveys a message unlike the shitty music nowadays that dwindles over love. No. This song is about your life. Maybe your life is composed of so much love, it might as well be a cheesy heartbreak song? Nevertheless, that's your tune, not mine."
"So how exactly do you compose one of these? You can structure your own Shaman's song by this basis-"
He grasps the threads of a golden tassel, pulling down a flimsy whiteboard as his chalkboard has classes and names scribbled upon it.
The black marker has the following listed (except in horrid English)
The lyrics should include all of the following
1. Where you were born, details may cover lyrics about your parents as well
2. The reason you are here, how you found yourself at this school, your goals
3. Lyrics covering your species or powers (your abilities for those who are human)
"I don't need to hear about how bad my penmanship is or my spelling, you didn't take a fucking grammar class. Anyhow, easy enough for you? Gute."
[Assignment: Have your student create their own Shaman's song. Be sure they sing it, what else are you to do with lyrics?]

SHM 202 - Shamanistic Paraphernalia
"Why... I thought you said you wouldn't be attending my class again, Mr. Wedgewood? Hahaha! You never cease to amuse me. Hello, Ignatia, welcome back."
"Aaah, paraphernalia. The simplest among classes, I tell you. This class doesn't so much deal with spirits, but the study of the minorities in Shamanism. I love it all the same, less work for the both of us. This term, you will be learning the basics of Gem Healing as practised among the Celtics."
"All jewels are capable of healing, but that depends on whether the right spell was conducted on them or not. You see, for example, the turquoise gem is only fit for healing the eyes. This is biconditional, so said turquoise gem can only heal the eyes IF and ONLY if it had a healing spell cast on it."
He reaches under his desk for a moment before coming back up with a box in hand. He turns it around revealing a grid of tiny drawers. Each one is labeled with masking tape, a single word written over the manila.
"Here, we have an array of gems. Come have a look see. These ones are already spellbound with their designated purpose. Open the drawers, read the notes beneath them. You will go out and find at least two students with a current illness and cure them of it with this gem. Have them wear it, ask your client about any changes until they are finally cured. NOTE- Terminal conditions may NOT be fully healed for that requires a stronger spell on the gem. Conditions like blindness and diseases will only be healed temporarily."
"You're now just realizing Shamanism centers around malevolent and benevolent practice. Hm."
[Assignment: Have your student choose the gems now or come back later once they've found at least 2 students with illnesses. Have your student instruct their volunteer to wear the gem(necklace) and report back with changes(don't make the volunteer do all the work! Have them report back, but you the student take notes on their condition and curing.]
